Since the Calgary Roughnecks were awarded an expansion franchise in the National Lacrosse League in 2001, they have established themselves as one of the premier organizations in the NLL. Featuring some of the best lacrosse players in the world, the Calgary Roughnecks have captured the coveted NLL Cup three times, and in 2021 the Roughnecks announced a partnership with WestJet and revealed that they would be returning to action for the 2021-22 NLL season on WestJet Field at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Perfect Surfaces was immensely proud to supply and perform the initial install on the one-of-a-kind WestJet teal coloured artificial turf NLL field for the Calgary Roughnecks. The GatorFIT turf offers enhanced durability that withstands high speed movements and quick pivoting motions with ease, while the foam ActionBACK and SuperSOFT fibre provide a softer and more cushioned artificial turf surface to reduce lower extremity torque to help protect players from injury. WestJet Field is a synthetic turf field that creates even and predictable footing for athletes, while offering consistent ball bounce and roll.
